Self-service simplicity

Entrust’s Password Reset service empowers users to reset their passwords without IT involvement. For high-value or privileged transactions like password resets, our solution integrates Risk-Based Authentication (RBA), which evaluates the risk level of each request and applies appropriate security measures. This ensures that sensitive transactions are always protected.

Our solution leverages AI-driven identity verification and biometric authentication to provide an additional layer of security during password resets. By verifying user identities through biometric data, such as fingerprints or facial recognition, we ensure that only authorized individuals can perform resets, enhancing security and reducing the risk of fraud.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Use Entrust’s Password Reset Service?

Password-related issues are among the most common causes of IT support tickets, often leading to significant downtime and resource allocation. With a self-service password reset solution, employees can quickly resolve these issues on their own.

Furthermore, this capability enhances security by incorporating multi-factor authentication (MFA) into the password reset process, ensuring that only authorized users can reset their credentials, thereby preventing unauthorized access.

How does a password reset service work?

Entrust’s Password Reset service streamlines the recovery process in less than a minute. In fact, it’s as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. When the user’s password is about to expire or they’re locked out of the account, the Password Reset Module automatically sends a notification to their mobile device via SMS text message.
  2. The message contains a link to Entrust’s password reset website. After clicking the link, the user is redirected to the site for appropriate authentication.
  3. Once the system verifies their identity, it’ll prompt the user to enter and confirm their new password.
