MINNETONKA, Minn.—(Oct. 21. 2014)—Datacard Group today announced that they have, once again, been invited to speak at CARTES Secure Connexions on Nov. 4-6, 2014 in Paris, France. Experts from the company will be featured on two separate tracks that discuss the nature of the payments industry, as well as the evolution of credentials and smart card industry.
The first session, titled “When Breaches Happen: How to Preserve Customer Relationships with Instant Issuance” will be presented by Ray Wizbowski, vice president, financial vertical, for Datacard Group. Part of the Instant Issuing and Personalization: What’s New? track, the presentation will be given on Tuesday, Nov. 4th at 12:00 p.m., and will highlight the benefits and use cases of how instant issuance can tremendously help financial organizations issue emergency card replacements quickly. In addition, Wizbowski will discuss how issuers have improved efficiencies in their card operations while meeting consumer demands by supplementing centralized card production with instant card issuance.
The second session, titled “Is the PAN Going to Disappear?” will be given by Jean-Louis Meyer, marketing manager for payment solutions, EMEA, and general manager of Datacard France S.A.S. operations for Datacard Group, on Wednesday, Nov. 5th at 4:00 p.m. The presentation is part of the EMV: Challenges and Benefits track and will highlight the complexities of EMV technology, and explore different perspectives on the customer experience and adoption of EMV. Meyer will specifically discuss the current payment environment, and if and how credentials could be stored in a secure element or in the cloud. With this evolution of credential security, he will also discuss if we will continue to use or need a personal account number (PAN) on cards.
Datacard Group will also be exhibiting at CARTES Secure Connexions, stand #3F004, in which the company will debut several new solutions for enabling trusted identity and secure transaction solutions.
