Our world is evolving faster than ever. Technology has woven itself into our daily lives, bringing unprecedented convenience and posing new challenges. As we step into the 20th Annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we are at a crossroads: a world where much of the way we interact and conduct business and commerce is digital-first, and one where data, privacy, and identity are under rising threats.
Our ability to add trust and security into this digital-first world is the key to unlocking its many benefits to business, government, and our everyday lives.
A Digital World in Flux
This is where Cybersecurity Awareness Month takes center stage. Founded in 2004, this annual initiative has become a global call to action, illuminating the path toward a safer digital future. It’s a collaborative endeavor, uniting businesses, governments, educational institutions, and individuals in a shared mission to educate and empower.
This year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month introduces a new theme, “Secure Our World,” focusing on four pivotal best practices:
- Password Manager Advocacy: Debunking myths surrounding password managers and emphasizing their benefits.
- Multi-factor Authentication (MFA): Encouraging the adoption of multi-factor authentication for enhanced security.
- Phishing Awareness: Equipping individuals to recognize and thwart phishing attempts, a prominent tactic of cybercriminals.
- Update Hygiene: Promoting the importance of regular software updates and automated updates.
These best practices are just the start, of course, and critical for individuals seeking to improve their own security posture. We provide many of these services to customers, including multi-factor authentication and phishing-resistant identities.
Commitment to Cybersecurity That Enables a Digital World
At Entrust, securing the digital world isn’t just a mission; it’s wound into the very fibers of our DNA. We take this mission seriously because our customers take this mission seriously. We know that when we provide solutions that protect data, enable strong identities, and secure payments, we are enabling everyday moments that require a high degree of trust. They are astonishingly easy for end-users yet highly complex to implement.
As digital life accelerates, we‘re helping our customers solve bigger challenges, like Zero Trust frameworks and multi-cloud network security. We are enabling seamless and secure travel, and readying enterprises for post-quantum encryption. We’re also supporting banks and governments to secure and enable digital-first journeys for account opening and government services.
As we celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Entrust stands shoulder to shoulder with the global community, embracing the challenge of securing an ever-evolving digital world. While our experts contribute their insights and guidance, security and business leaders need to protect their organizations and enable their growth and scale.

It has garnered recognition from federal, state, and local governments, along with industry and academic leaders. This is truly a team sport. Our involvement in Cybersecurity Awareness Month reflects our mission and values, and we encourage everyone to join us on this journey.
