In January, Entrust kicked off this year’s sales cycle with a meeting in Amsterdam. I was so excited to be in attendance, and feel the energy in the room. It’s an energy that’s stayed constant through my years as Director of Sales Operations with Thales eSecurity and now as the VP of Global Operations with Entrust .
In my current role, I oversee an Ops team responsible for a myriad of activities: SalesForce.com, our customer relationship management tool; supply chain and logistics; order management; and commercial operations. We are a partner for sales in their focus on our customers. We have a direct impact on growth and profit, so we have to ensure we are on point to support those aspects of the business.
We have a number of opportunities this year. To start, I’d like us to better automate our ERP systems and improve access to real-time data. While this will require some elbow grease, I’m passionate about the company, supporting the organization, and making it easier for customers to do business with Entrust . Fortunately, I have a great team and I’m confident we’ll deliver on our promises.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time cooking for my family and shopping. While we’re discussing topics unrelated to work – during the SKO, my colleague Peter Carlisle asked me what I would do if I became ‘fabulously wealthy’. I’d put money away for my granddaughter’s education, build a retirement home on the beach (on an exotic island, of course), travel half the year to exotic places, and also show up on my kids’ doorsteps when they were least expecting it.
