How does this acquisition benefit Onfido’s customers?

Our solutions, capabilities, and customers are highly complementary, and create opportunities to advance the ways we help customers protect identities and enable trusted interactions in a fast-changing world.

We have decades of experience keeping the world moving safely by enabling strong identities, secure payments, and protected data. How will this acquisition impact the product roadmap?

Onfido solutions are complementary to those of Entrust, so these capabilities will open new opportunities for our customers. We expect to accelerate our innovation with best-in- class, end-to-end identity security solutions. For example, we see opportunities in the integration of Onfido’s leading identity verification (IDV) technology and Entrust’s portfolio, including our Identity and Access Management (IAM) and digital signing solutions. We believe IDV will become increasingly important as step-up authentication for high-risk or high-value transactions and activities including digital onboarding, account opening, access management, and digital signing. We will enhance the IDV solution with risk-based authentication that is part of Entrust Identity as a Service, as part of an end-to-end identity assurance platform.

Will the Onfido brand change? What about its products?

Entrust has established a strong global brand with a deep history in protecting and enabling trusted identities, payments, and data. We go to market with Entrust as our Master Brand. Onfido will initially operate as “Onfido, an Entrust company.” Looking ahead, we will transition Onfido and key product names to the Entrust brand. The change would occur deliberately to ensure a smooth transition for customers and partners.

Will my account representative, billing contacts, etc. be changing?

There are no near-term changes. Please continue to conduct business with Onfido and Entrust as you always have done.
