After March 2021 Microsoft Security Update for Windows 7, causing ID Works Barcode printing anomalies.

Introduction (Windows 7 Operating Systems)

There have been reports that specific Microsoft security updates released on March 9th, have caused printing anomalies with barcodes, graphics printing  on Windows 7 Workstations affecting ID Works, IDCentre, and applications using the ID Works Print Server, with print drivers installed. 

The March 9th patches which may cause this issue:

KB5000841 for Windows 7

Solution

The problem can be remedied by downloading and updating Windows 7 with updated Microsoft Security Update for Windows 7 released after March 18th, 2021.  Please use the prescribed Microsoft Updates as prescribed by Microsoft.

The March 22nd patch which resolves this issue:

KB5001639 - Released after March 22nd, 2021 which resolves these printing anomalies.

The above Microsoft Update can be downloaded from the Microsoft Windows Update Catalog found on the internet for your Windows 7 build version. If the above Security Update for Windows 7 fails to resolve your printing issue, you may want to inquire with Microsoft Support to provide information and request support for the operating system.
