I’m delighted to announce that Entrust Datacard has signed an agreement to acquire Entrust Security, Thales’s General Purpose Hardware Security Module (GP HSM) business. Entrust has been operating as a separate stand-alone business within Thales since January 2019 and is being divested by Thales in order to ensure a strong competitive market for GP HSM solutions and to finalize the acquisition of Gemalto.
