Over the next few months, the Entrust Sigma and Artista desktop issuance product names will transition to Entrust Datacard.

This change aligns our card issuance and ID issuance solutions under a brand that customers worldwide have trusted for decades. It’s a simple change but an important one.

Entrust Datacard will become the brand name for solutions previously marketed under the Sigma and Artista desktop issuance portfolios. This is a naming transition only and does not impact functionality, support, or performance.

重要ポイント

  • Sigma desktop issuance solutions will become Entrust Datacard.
  • Artista desktop issuance solutions will become Entrust Datacard.
  • Product functionality and performance remain unchanged.
  • Customer support remains unchanged.
  • The transition is expected to be completed by Q4 2026.
  • The change applies to desktop issuance products only.

Why Sigma and Artista Are Becoming Entrust Datacard

For many of our global customers, the Datacard name has always meant one thing: trusted, secure issuance.

Even as we evolved our brand to Entrust, many of you continued to refer to our desktop issuance portfolio as Datacard. That consistency matters. It’s a signal of trust built over decades across every region, especially in the moments when issuance needs to work flawlessly.

This change brings our product names back in line with what you already call us.

A Legacy of Leadership in Desktop Issuance

That trust didn’t happen overnight.

Our roots go back to 1969, when Datacard pioneered high-speed systems for producing payment cards at scale, helping enable the growth of modern financial services.

Over the years, we’ve continued to shape the issuance industry, including:

  • Introducing early breakthroughs in secure card technologies like embossing, microprinting, and tamper-resistant features
  • Launching modular central issuance systems that make it easier for organizations to scale and adapt
  • Bringing color and desktop card printing into everyday use cases
  • Helping drive adoption of instant issuance programs worldwide, with tens of thousands of deployments supporting banks and organizations globally

Along the way, our technology has supported millions of cards being issued instantly, helping institutions deliver in critical, real-time moments, like replacing a compromised card, onboarding a new customer, or issuing secure credentials on the spot.

Why the Datacard Name Matters Today

Today, desktop issuance plays a critical role in how organizations serve customers, whether that’s issuing a replacement payment card on site in minutes or enabling secure ID credentials in a single interaction.

These are moments that matter: when a customer is standing in a branch, when access is needed immediately, or when trust is on the line.

At the same time, the market has become more complex with more channels, formats, and higher expectations for seamless experiences.

Bringing our desktop issuance portfolio under the Datacard name is one way we can make our own portfolio clearer and avoid adding to that complexity. It aligns our product names to a trusted name and makes it easier to understand, adopt, and scale across those critical moments.

What’s Changing — and What’s Not

Here’s what you can expect:

  • You’ll begin to see updates across materials, systems, and communications over the coming months
  • Entrust Sigma and Artista product names will fully transition to Entrust Datacard by Q4 2026
  • Product capabilities, performance, and support will remain the same

This is a name change – not a product change.

将来を見据えて

Our focus remains the same: helping you deliver secure, seamless issuance experiences – whether physical, digital, or both.

This update is one step toward making that experience clearer, simpler, and more consistent, especially in the moments that matter most.
