Think of it like RAID-5 for data in the cloud that neutralizes cloud storage ransomware, improves data resilience and business continuity, and leaves the data owner in control of their data in hybrid- and multi-cloud environments.

The partnership between Entrust and ShardSecure ensures robust protection for unstructured data, whether stored in the cloud or on-premises, safeguarding it from disruptions, cyber attacks, and other potential security breaches. This collaboration features two key integrations of ShardSecure with Entrust products: the nShield Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and the KeyControl Compliance Manager.
The ShardSecure integration with nShield HSM enhances data security by combining ShardSecure’s file-level encryption with nShield HSM’s secure key generation and management capabilities. Specifically, the encryption keys used by the ShardSecure engine for its internal distributed cache are securely stored within an Entrust nShield HSM, providing at-rest encryption for the ShardSecure cluster.
Additionally, the ShardSecure integration with KeyControl Compliance Manager offers a unified, compliance-focused dashboard that presents a comprehensive view of encryption keys and secrets. This includes details on their ownership, the environments they are used in, their purpose, and their relevance to critical systems, spanning on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid cloud setups.
