Entrust nShield hardware security modules (HSMs) and KeyControl enterprise key management add a layer of security by safeguarding the encryption keys used to protect Oracle databases.

With Oracle Database, nShield can be integrated with Oracle Key Vault (OKV) to establish a root of trust for TDE. As FIPS 140-2 Level 3, FIPS 140-3 and Common Criteria ELA 4+ certified devices, the Entrust nShield HSMs deliver a high grade of security assurance for the database applications and the data they process. And KeyControl Database Vault can be integrated with Oracle Database as a software wallet via TDE to manage encryption keys. And KeyControl can integrate with nShield or other HSMs to strengthen the protection.

With Oracle MySQL Enterprise Server, KeyControl KMIP Vault can be integrated to manage encryption keys. And as above, KeyControl can integrate with nShield or other HSMs to strengthen the protection.
