Affina® Desktop Utility 2.0 Hotfix C
Affina® Desktop Utility Time-out Hotfix
This is a Hotfix for Datacard® Affina® Desktop Utility Software v2.0. Released November 2, 2006.
Required For
The hotfix should be applied to the desktop client workstations where the Desktop Utility v2.0 is installed. This hotfix is independent of other hotfixes.
Fixed Issues
There is a Time-out value for the Virtual9000 registry key that can cause numerous issues, but is not documented. Having the setting too low can cause cards to be rejected and may cause data integrity problems. Since the setting affecting this is in registry and not documented it would be difficult for the customer to figure out the problem if an issue occurs. The problem doesn't actually cause cards to fail unless the data is card dependent and the data and card get out of sequence with each other. The problem does cause records on ID Works to get rejected, but they only really show up as TIME-OUT value for the Print Result field in the audit data and not as the actual cards getting rejected.
Instructions
Download the file at the link below. Unzip and double-click the V9000_TimeOut_New.reg file on each client PC. This hot fix should be installed on client PCs running the Desktop Utility 2.0 software. There is no uninstall for the hotfix — it is simply a registry change.

Affina® Personalization Manager Desktop Utility Software v2.0 Hotfix B
This is a Hotfix for Datacard® Affina® Desktop Utility Software v2.0 Released September 12, 2006.
Required For
Desktop Utility 2.0 Hotfix B is required when parsing configurations need to specify fields not in order. This includes the situation where one input data field needs to be used as two different parsed data fields. An example of this is using the mag stripe input field as both the mag stripe and the smart card data, as is required for parsing data generated by Affina Data Preparation.
Desktop utility 2.0 Hotfix B is recommended for all Desktop Utility 2.0 sites that use the Data Parser.
The hotfix should be applied to the desktop client workstations where Desktop Utility 2.0 is installed.
Fixed Issues
- "Multi-card data with multiple fields not parsed correctly." If a parsing configuration specifies fields not in order and multiple fields, then multi-record data files were not properly parsed, although no errors were detected or returned.
- "Fields in order is checked by default but not saved." When a new parsing configuration is created, fields in order is checked by default, but in some circumstances the new configuration would be saved with fields not in order specified.

SCPM v3.3 Hotfix E
This hotfix allows SCPM applications return up to 950 bytes of data as audit trail when running with DC9000 11-station smartcard module. 750 bytes was the limit before this fix.
In order to get 950 bytes for audit you need to use the new 11-station firmware which is "9000 FSC Interface 855T Ver. 0.5". Without using this new firmware, only 750 bytes of data will be returned as audit trail.
