There have been reports that specific Microsoft Security Updates released on March 9th, 2021, have caused printing anomalies with barcodes, graphics printing, or BSOD problems on Windows 10 Workstations affecting ID Works, IDCentre, and applications using the ID Works Print Server, with print drivers installed.
The March 9th patches which may cause this issue
- KB5000802 for Win10 ver 20H2 and 2004
- KB5000808 for Win10 ver 1909
- KB5000822 for Win10 ver 1809 and Win Ser 2019
- KB5000809 for Win10 ver 1803
It has been confirmed by Entrust Engineers that the problem is not ID Works, IDCentre, ID Works Printer Server, or Entrust Printer Drivers.
Remedy
The problem can be remedied by downloading and updating Windows 10 with updated Microsoft Security Updates for Windows 10 released after March 18th, 2021. Please use the prescribed Microsoft Updates as prescribed by Microsoft.
