This article walks you through the process of managing your domain names , Subject Alternative Names (SANs) , and Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs) in the revamped Entrust portal . This guide will help customers who are new to this experience, ensuring a smooth transition to the Entrust subscription-based model. It explains the separate purchase and management workflows.

Understanding the Purchase Flow

With the new Entrust eStore , all products are now based on a subscription model with licenses. The purchase flow has been separated from the certificate issuance and management flow, providing more flexibility and control over your certificates.

Choosing Subscription Term and Licenses

When you access the eStore, you’ll see a range of subscription terms, typically ranging from 1 to 5 years. You also have the option to select the number of certificate and domain licenses that meet your specific needs. This step is crucial for setting up your subscription, but it does not involve entering your domains or CSR.

Generating Credentials and Accessing ECS Portal

Once you complete the payment process, you will generate credentials that grant you access to the Entrust Certificate Services (ECS) portal. In this portal, you will convert your licenses into certificates, provide a CSR, and specify the domain(s) you want to include in the certificate.

Converting Licenses and Providing CSR

ECS portal gives you a straightforward interface to manage your certificates effectively. Start by converting your purchased licenses into actual certificates by following the instructions provided. During this process, you’ll have the opportunity to provide a CSR (Certificate Signing Request), which is a file containing information about your certificate and the domain(s) it should secure.

Adding Domains to the Certificate

With the new eStore, Entrust no longer distinguishes between the common name and SANs. They are now collectively referred to as domains . When you provide your CSR, you can specify the domain(s) you would like to add to the certificate. Simply enter the relevant domain(s) in the appropriate field or follow the instructions to make sure you’ve included all domains.

The new Entrust online store offers an improved experience for managing your domain names, SANs, and CSR. Remember that the purchase flow requires you to select only a subscription term and the number of licenses you want. After payment, you’ll get access to the ECS portal, where you can convert your licenses into certificates, provide a CSR, and specify the domains you want to secure.

If you have any issues or need help, Entrust's Support team is available to help you navigate this new experience smoothly.
