Certificate Signing Request (CSR) Help
For F5 BIG IP

1. Log into your F5 BIG IP Configuration Utility.



2. On the left hand menu, go to System>File Management>SSL Certificate List.



3. On the top right, select the Change button.



4. Under General Properties, provide a name for your Certificate.

Provide all details for your certificate under Certificate Properties:

• Common Name (fully qualified domain name for your certificate)
• Division (OU= ,which is an optional field)
• Organization
• Locality (City)
• State or Province
• Country
• E-mail Address (optional)
• Subject Alternative Name (optional)
• Challenge Password
• Confirm Password

• Security Type: Normal
• Key Type: RSA
• Size: 2048

Select the Finished button when ready to move on.

6. Your Certificate Signing Request is generated, and available to download by selecting the DownloadCertificate.csr button.



7. Save the CSR File to a memorable location. You may open the contents of the file by opening with Notepad or any other word processing software.
