Solution Description

Entrust nShield hardware security modules (HSMs) add a layer of security by safeguarding the encryption keys used to protect Oracle Database Transparent Data Encryption (TDE). nShield can be integrated with either Oracle Key Vault (OKV) or Oracle Wallet, to establish a root of trust for TDE. As FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and Common Criteria ELA 4+ certified devices, the Entrust nShield HSMs deliver a high grade of security assurance for the database applications and the data they process.
