How to Integrate ConnectWise Manage with your Entrust Partner Account

If you use ConnectWise Manage, you can integrate it with your Entrust Partner account. This integration allows you to submit orders using ConnectWise Manage. To use the ConnectWise Manage integration option, you must have an active contract including Entrust SSL or AffirmTrust SSL products.

To configure the connection to ConnectWise:

1. Log in to ConnectWise normally.

2. Create a new API member user.
a . At the time that this help was written, a new API member user can be created from Register > Members > API Members > +
b . Fill out the page as indicated. An online help page is available from the ConnectWise application, if required.
c . Save the information.

Note: If you need more information or you are using a different version of ConnectWise Manager than the one described here, consult the ConnectWise documentation or your administrator.

3. Generate an API key pair ( public and private key ) for the API member user. Entrust's Partner Portal will need these keys to connect and exchange information with ConnectWise.

a. Go to API keys > + (after the member user has been created.). An online help page with information about creating these keys is available from the ConnectWise application, if required.
b. Enter a meaningful description for the API member.
c. Copy the public and private keys to a secure file or copy them directly to the Partner Portal connection configuration page.

Note: The private key is only displayed at this point in the process, If you do not know the private key when you configure the connection on the Partner Portal ConnectWise page, you will need to create new keys. Also, if the connection information does not save successfully after you filled out and saved the Partner Portal ConnectWise page, you may need to re-enter the keys. You should retain a record of the private key until the connection is established.

4. From the Partner Portal Home page, click My Account .

5. From the My Account page, click ConnectWise Settings .

6. In the ConnectWise Site field, enter the URL used by your company to access ConnectWise.
Note: This URL must be a publicly-facing address that Entrust can access. A strictly internal address will probably not be usable by Entrust.

7. In the ConnectWise Company ID field, enter the company ID used to access the ConnectWise site.

8. In the ConnectWise API Public Key field, enter the public key that you created for the API member user in ConnectWise.

9. In the ConnectWise API Private Key field, enter the public key that you created for the API member user in ConnectWise.

10. Click Test Connection .

If the connection is configured correctly, you will see a message indicating that the test was successful. If the Partner Portal cannot connect to ConnectWise, check and, if necessary, re-enter the information that you entered into the page.

11. When you are satisfied with the configuration, click Save .

You see a message indicating if the save was successful.
