MINNEAPOLIS—(Feb. 29, 2016)—Entrust Datacard today announced the continued expansion of its portfolio of identity-based security solutions, which now includes a new Authentication Service offering that leverages Entrust Datacard’s proven portfolio of strong authentication solutions in a cloud-based service. With the continued expansion of the portfolio, Entrust Datacard’s solutions offer the widest range of authentication use cases across the broadest range of deployment models.

“The rapid adoption of cloud-based applications within the enterprise is creating significant value for the business, but moving to the cloud is a complex process that has a significant impact on traditional IT boundaries,” said Todd Wilkinson, president and CEO of Entrust Datacard. “Because of this, most organizations are not going to move everything over to the cloud all at once – rather this shift will be done as a phased approach and our customers are looking for a solution that provides the necessary security that takes into account the need to support legacy and new cloud-based infrastructures. Entrust Datacard is uniquely positioned to provide these essential elements to make this shift – from our legacy on-premise delivery models to our cloud-based approach – we have the solutions that help make the transition seamless for our customers.”

As enterprises move their business processes to the cloud and their desktops to mobile devices, digital identity has becomes a business critical tool for securing information and application access. As a business adapts, it has become increasingly important that there are solutions that meet the ever changing security needs of the industry, while equipping IT departments with tools to quickly provision new applications and support new user communities.

“Our combination of providing high-assurance mobile-based authentication with the lightweight deployment and workflow automation capabilities of our new Authentication Service enables us to bring stronger levels of security solutions to our customers in a much more effective way,” added Ryan Zlockie, vice president of authentication for Entrust Datacard. “Our customers span across markets including financial institutions, governments and enterprises – all who do not want to compromise the security and authentication capabilities they need to secure their digital assets and workforce – whether they are moving to the cloud or using mobile applications. We provide the identity fabric that secures all of these digital business applications now and in the future.”

Entrust Datacard’s new Authentication Service solution expands on decades of security experience providing trusted identities to the world’s leading and most security conscious governments and Fortune 500 organizations. The new authentication deployment model provides added flexibility and workflow automation to the existing suite of enterprise-grade authentication capabilities.

In addition, the company offers a range of authenticator choices, including a robust suite of pre-built application integrations and tools that are also available to allow for the quick provision of new users and commission of applications. The service is also complemented with new mobile solutions that provide end users with instant, secure access to the information and services they need to accomplish their goals.

Entrust Datacard will be previewing its Authentication Service, as its encryption, digital certificates or mobile offerings at the upcoming RSA Conference 2016, booth N4207, in the North Expo hall.
