MUMBAI, India—(Sept. 28, 2015) — Entrust Datacard, in partnership with Dun & Bradstreet, today announced that it hosted “Branch Transformation – The Way Forward” a Banking Roundtable Conference at the Hotel Trident, BKC, Mumbai, India. The conference, which was attended by more than 50 senior level representatives from the banking industry, provided in-depth discussions on the future of banking in India with a focus on branch processes and technology.

The conference included a variety of keynote addresses and a panel discussion centered on best practices for improving the customer experience, while lowering overall operating costs. Sessions included:

  • An opening address, “A Journey of SBI Intouch,” presented by Sushil Kumar Mishra, deputy managing director and CIO (Retd) of State Bank of India. During his presentation, he described the challenges SBI faced with the launch of SBI Intouch—an integrated instant debit card issuance kiosk solution—and how SBI was supported by partners like Entrust Datacard to implement the solution in their branches.
  • A keynote session by Sudha Damodar, chief general manager-banking regulations RBI, which provided attendees with valuable insight on how the banking industry in India has matured over the years and what the future holds.
  • John Di Leo, senior vice president of global sales and service, Entrust Datacard, presented a session titled “Transforming your Bank Branch and Providing an Omni-Channel Experience.” During his presentation he outlined how banking is morphing into one of the most dynamic areas for change in today’s world and how Entrust Datacard has contributed to catalyzing this change.
  • Finally, a panel discussion, moderated by Shinjini Kumar, executive director, PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited, provided attendees with a variety of opinions on the future of bank branches from representatives of leading banks including State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank and RBL Bank, as well as Rajiv Singh, managing director Entrust Datacard, South Aisa.
