MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—(July 28, 2015)—Entrust Datacard today announced that the company has received MasterCard Emerging Payments Support Accreditation (MEPSA program) in the Technical Support Issuer program category. The MEPSA program has the objective to enable accredited suppliers that have showcased suitable skills and expertise to globally support MasterCard customers including issuers involved with EMV contact and contactless smart card programs.

Entrust Datacard joins a limited list of accredited companies and highlights its ability to provide technical and product support to MasterCard issuers before and during project implementation. Specifically, Entrust Datacard provides training, consultative technical support, and business information to companies implementing smart card issuance programs.

“We are very pleased that MasterCard has recognized Entrust Datacard’s expertise in providing technical support to issuers,” said Ray Wizbowski, vice president, financial vertical marketing for Entrust Datacard. “This accreditation, combined with our chip validation program, builds upon our ability to offer issuers complete end-to-end support for smart card programs, including all MasterCard M/Chip programs.”

Entrust Datacard leverages its expertise to issuers at both centralized and distributed issuance environments to be compliant with PCI DSS Data Security Standards. The company also conducts EMV and smart card workshops and training for its customers, providing strategic and technical roadmaps for EMV migration — particularly for the timetable on the adoption of M/Chip Advance, which is the latest version of the MasterCard M/Chip product family that provides enhanced and innovative functionality for issuers around the world.

Entrust Datacard provides card issuers with a complete end-to-end solution for issuing chip cards and protecting personalized data commonly encoded on the EMV chips – including name, account number, bank information, credit limits and transaction history. The company’s solution includes a complete suite of software, data preparation, key management, card issuance, high-volume and desktop issuance systems, as well as expert professional services.
