This solution has a video.
1. Log into your DNSimple portal.
2. After logging in, you will be directed to the DNSimple dashboard. Here you will see your domain listings. In this example we have entrustzonelab.com.
3. Click on the icon next to your domain name to jump directly to your DNS record.
Your DNS record will show as below:
4. Click on Add button and select CAA to add a new CAA record.
Enter or select the information below:
| Name : | You can leave it blank |
| Provider: | Select Entrust or D-Trust |
| Certificate Type: |
Either Standard or Wildcard
Note: If you need both certificate types, you must create a second CAA record with the different certificate type selected. |
| TTL | Leave it default as 1 hour |
At this point, your CAA record has been added.
NOTE:
If your organization currently uses Entrust for its CAA record, we recommend adding a separate CAA record for D-Trust.
OPTIONAL: You can use the Dig command from BIND to check that the CAA Record was added correctly using the command below:
dig yourdomain type 257
