DALLAS—(Sept. 23, 2014)—Entrust President David Wagner will serve as a panelist at the 2014 Sibos event in Boston, Mass., panel discussion “The Cyber Wars Escalate” on Tues. Sept. 30th from 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.   Sibos, which brings together thousands of delegates each year from around the globe, is an annual event that focuses on the latest developments and trends in the financial services industry.

The panel discussion that Wagner will participate in will outline ways for financial organizations to combat cyber-attacks as they continue to intensify in scope and magnitude.  Wagner will also discuss how financial organizations can help mitigate the risks associated with protecting identities and safeguarding information as well as highlight the challenges that organizations may face when trying to protect sensitive data.

“Cyber-attacks are growing in frequency, intensity and sophistication, and organizations are constantly trying to stay ahead of this to protect sensitive information and identities,” said Wagner. “It’s more important than ever for these organizations to understand what technologies are out there to help them build an infrastructure that will best combat this, while also servicing their customers to enable a positive experience and build trust.”

Wagner has extensive experience speaking on this topic.  In March 2014, he testified before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee at a hearing on cybersecurity and how to protect consumer information.  In addition, Entrust is known for offering authentication software platforms that help organizations protect sensitive data and authenticate billions of secure transactions and communications every year.
