nCipher Security, an Entrust Datacard company, and world leader in hardware security modules (HSMs) that deliver trust, integrity and control for business-critical information and applications, has opened a new office in the Netherlands to better serve partners and customers across the region. The Naarden-based office will host a networking reception for partners and customers on March 5, 2020.

Organisations around the globe depend on the nCipher nShield® family of HSMs to protect against threats to their sensitive data, network communications and enterprise infrastructure. This same proven technology also underpins security in the cloud, internet of things (IoT), blockchain and digital payments while helping meet compliance mandates.

According to nCipher’s 2019 Global Encryption Trends Study, 45% of global organisations have an overall encryption plan or strategy that is applied consistently across the entire enterprise – indicating an understanding of and appetite for data protection technologies. Over half (60%) of global respondents also rate HSMs as either ‘very important’ or ‘important’ to their organisation’s encryption or key management activities.

“Our company has a 20-year legacy in The Netherlands, and it continues to be a growth region for us,” says Paul van Hugte, vice president EMEA, at nCipher Security. “Global data compliance regulations such as GDPR and eIDAS have put data protection at the forefront of customers’ security strategies, especially within the financial services and telecoms industries, government, and with organizations pursuing a cloud-first strategy. These trends have informed our channel-first business model, and our work with local partners such as Avensus. We look forward to building on our commitment to existing customers and new opportunities in the Netherlands.”

The new office is located at Gooimeer 1, 1411 DC, Naarden, the Netherlands.
