MINNETONKA, Minn.—(Oct. 14, 2014)—Datacard Group today announced that they exhibited at the 2014 Financial Inclusion and Payments Systems (FIPS) event held at the Lalit Hotel in New Delhi, India. The annual event brought together various stakeholders from the Banking, Financial Services and Institutions (BFSI) sector and attracted appromixately 200 attendees.
This year’s event highlighted the influential role that the Government, Banks, Non-banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and Payment Companies play in promoting the Financial Inclusion Plan (Jan Dhan Yojna). The Financial Inclusion Plan is a policy mandated by the Department of Financial Services with the objective of ensuring access to financial services for all households in both the urban and rural areas in India.
At the show, Datacard Group showcased its instant issuance portfolio which includes integrated software, hardware, supplies and services that enable the instant issuance of a variety of financial cards — including debit, credit and prepaid, embossed or flat cards, magstripe cards, or contact and contactless smart cards.
