Before you begin...

• Never share private key files.

• If you plan on using the same certificate on multiple servers always transfer the private key using a secure method ( e-mail is not considered a secure method of transfer ).

• Make sure you run the SSL Server Test at the end of the installation process to check your certificate configuration against SSL/TLS Best Practices.

Installing your Entrust SSL/TLS Certificate on Barracuda SSL VPN

1. Click the Download button in the pickup wizard to download your certificate files. Clicking the download button will produce a file named CertificateBundle1.pem. This file includes the entire certificate chain as a single bundle file.

2. Login to your Barracuda Firewall using the web interface. Go to the "Advanced" tab and then the "Secure Administration" or "SSL" page where you originally got your CSR file. There should be an "Upload Signed Certificate" button which you can use to upload your CertificateBundle1.pem file. This file includes your certificate and combines it with entire certificate chain.

3. To begin using the certificate you've uploaded, select Trusted (Signed by a trusted CA) as the Certificate Type after uploading the certificate, and click Save Changes. You may need to restart web services on your Barracuda appliance for the new certificate to take effect.
