As of September 1, 2020 the maximum certificate lifetime will be reduced to 398 days (roughly 13 months/1 year) from the current 27-month limit.

Apple Announces 398-day Maximum Certificate Lifetime

Apple Reduces Validity Period for TLS/SSL Certificates

On March 3, 2020, Apple announced that they are changing TLS/SSL certificates to have a maximum validity period of 398-days. This new policy reduces the validity period to about one year plus one month to support TLS/SSL certificates before they expire and require renewal.

What you need to know

As a result of this industry change, we will remove the ability to create two-year certificates in July 1, 2020. The new 398-day lifetime change does not impact currently deployed certificates (unless re-issued).
