MINNEAPOLIS—(June 28, 2016)—Entrust Datacard today announced that it recently hosted two banking conferences to facilitate in-depth discussions on emerging strategies that can help financial institutions drive their business forward, including: in-branch instant card issuance; self-service kiosk and ATM technologies; as well as strong authentication and mobile device security solutions.

The events were attended by 20+ senior level banking executives from U.S. top 100 banks. The conferences included a variety of keynote addresses and panel discussions centered on transforming the customer experience, maintaining a competitive edge and increasing revenue streams. Sessions included:

  • A keynote address, “The Five Biggest Lies in Payments,” presented by Karen Webster, CEO of Market Platform Dynamics and PYMNTS.com. During her presentation, she described five major themes in the financial market today including mobile wallets, the blockchain, card networks, emerging non-traditional financial technology players and the prevalence of bank branches – and discussed common misconceptions tied to each theme.
  • Interactive panel discussions on branch transformation strategies, optimizing your digital banking experiences, competing against non-traditional banking competition, mobile payments and the impact of federal regulations and economic trends on financial institutions.
  • A keynote session by Angela Finn, vice president and manager of debit and prepaid products for Commerce Bank, which outlined best practices for implementing in-branch instant issuance of EMV debit and prepaid cards across a network of 170 locations – recapping  their experience and the value they have realized from instant issuance over time,  including a sustainable lift in interchange revenue.

“Interacting with senior banking executives affirms our understanding of the challenges they face and the solutions employed to overcome these challenges,” said Ray Wizbowski, chief marketing officer of Entrust Datacard. “This interactive ongoing dialogue with tier one banks provides the required insights to allow for better alignment and business partnership and reinforces our commitment to customer centric solution development.

Entrust Datacard will continue to host these banking industry events as they are immensely valuable to both the attendees and the company. The next hosted event will be taking place on September 15, 2016 in New Orleans at Hyatt Regency hotel.
