MINNETONKA, Minn.—(Dec. 5, 2014)—Entrust Datacard Corporation today announced that the Entrust® IdentityGuard Authentication Platform – a multifactor solution that manages soft tokens, physical hardware tokens, fingerprint recognition, grid cards, digital certificates and PINs – has been named as a ‘2014 Readers’ Choice Award Winner’ in the Best Enterprise Authentication Product category of Information Security Magazine’s 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Information Security magazine and SearchSecurity.com Readers’ Choice Award winners were selected based on an extensive, in-depth survey of Information Security magazine and SearchSecurity.com readers. It included over 1,700 information security executives and managers, who were asked to assess and rate products deployed within their organizations from a listing of more than 400 products spanning 22 product categories.

The Entrust IndentityGuard Platform was selected for its breadth of capabilities including: support for near-field communication and Bluetooth standards enabling enhanced mobile device access; cloud authentication; physical/logical access integration; risk assessment functionality; and the option to leverage mobile devices for branded authenticated interactions using a software development kit – as noted in Information Security magazine’s 2014 Readers Choice Award feature story.

“The Entrust IdentityGuard software authentication platform empowers organizations to protect user identities from complex malware and advanced security threats while reducing business complexity, risk and cost,” said David Wagner, president of Entrust. “It’s an honor to be named as one of the 2014 Readers’ Choice Award recipients and we are thrilled that readers have recognized the IdentityGuard Platform as one of the best authentication products.”
