The print unit has a fan filter to prevent airborne particles from entering the print area. Clean the filter regularly and replace it yearly.

Press down on the latch to free the external fan cover.
Remove the external fan cover.
Rinse the filter under running water.
Allow the filter to dry thoroughly.
Replace the filter and cover.
