MINNETONKA, Minn.—(Dec. 1, 2014)—Entrust Datacard today announced that Senior Marketing Manager, Government Solutions, Henry Leung, will be speaking at APSCA’s 2014 Conference on Technical Cooperation and Capacity Building for Border Management  which takes place Dec. 2-4 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok. This event is the largest gathering of national government agencies including Immigration, Border Control, Customs and other agencies with responsibilities in the area of border management in Asia.

On Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 2:50 p.m., Leung will present on, “Preparing for the Future – Identity and Credential Lifecycle Management Platform.” The presentation will discuss the rising trend of border management systems incorporating single or multi-modal biometrics verification at checkpoints with integration to certificate authorities; the importance of adopting a scalable Identity & Credential Lifecycle Management (ICLM) platform; and the typical building blocks of a modular ICLM platform – which can support evolving technologies, international standards, PKI, enrollment and issuance models, government systems and peripherals.

“In an increasingly global market, people everywhere are moving freely across borders and around the globe at a rapid rate,” said Leung.  “Because of this, the need for strong border management and secure identities is at an all-time high. As government agencies begin to assess their programs, they must consider the end-to-end security of the entire ecosystem. APSCA’s Conference on Technical Cooperation and Capacity Building for Border Management is a great forum to discuss emerging technologies that will help ensure a secure ecosystem and ultimately protect identities.”

Entrust Datacard will also be exhibiting at the conference, stand B3. The product demonstrations at the show will feature combined solutions that range from citizen enrollment and ID document issuance to authentication and PKI technologies that enable strong border control.
