What are Verified Mark Certificates?

Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs) are innovative digital certificates that enable companies to display a verified logo alongside outgoing emails.

How does it work?

VMCs were developed by Entrust in cooperation with Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) to standardize a method for enabling the appearance of a verified logo on email and create a more immersive email experience for businesses and consumers by bringing consistency and authenticity to email communications.

1. Submit your registered trademark logo for verification.
2. Prove that your sending domain enforces Domain Message and Conformance Reporting (DMARC) standards.
3. High assurance validation

*Entrust will not accept registrations from every trademark office, and will only confirm marks registered in select trademark offices.

Prepare your company for VMC

  1. Check that your brand logo is properly registered. Your logo must be registered with an approved trademark office so that we can validate ownership before issuing a VMC.
  2. Review your DMARC status. To qualify for a VMC, a DMARC record with “p=quarantine” or “p=reject” is required.
