While I’ve been attending the RSA Conference since the mid-90s, I’m especially motivated for next week’s show. It’s been an eventful year so far for Entrust Security – and we’re only two months in. We officially launched in January, and last Friday, Entrust Datacard announced it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire us.

By combining with Entrust Datacard, Entrust will be better able to accelerate innovation for customers – customers embarking on initiatives related to mobility, cloud and the IoT who need to grow their business while simultaneously protecting their data and managing ever-growing cyber risks. Out of this acquisition comes a cybersecurity powerhouse. I say this not just because of our proven business and technological prowess, but because it will combine two talented, passionate teams that will be even better together.

RSA Conference 2019: Even Better This Time Around

This development is one of the reasons why the 2019 RSA theme – which happens to be ‘Better’ – resonates with me. When I think about ‘better’ in the context of cybersecurity, I think about better and stronger security solutions, better and stronger infrastructure, and better and stronger IT security teams. Aspiring to do better and be better is especially critical right now; one need only glace at news headlines to know data is perpetually under threat from cybercriminals.

Here at Entrust , we’re committed to delivering a foundation of trust, integrity and control at a time when data security challenges are especially urgent and pronounced – and not just for businesses. Recently, we surveyed 1,000 Americans (stay tuned for the results!) about their personal data security practices and experiences and found a sizable percentage of consumers don’t trust anyone to protect their personal data. Consumers want better, too.

Our focus on betterment is why you’ll find us in meetings and conversations with our customers, partners and prospective customers during the show. Speaking of partners, some of our nFinity partners (including Bloombase, Citrix, Device Authority, F5, Fornetix, Gigamon, Micro Focus, Microsoft, PrimeKey and Venafi) and of course Entrust Datacard will be on hand to discuss their collaborations with Entrust .

Will you be in attendance? If so, please stop by booth #3106 to learn how our cryptographic solutions guard against today’s threats and attacks, enable compliance and protect your business applications. Or take part in our RSA nFinity Partner Passport Program for the chance to win an LG Smart Home Projector.
