The past year has been all about transformation. The response to the global pandemic has accelerated long term changes in the way we interact, move and spend. Consumers have come to expect all-digital, all-online enablement to access critical services from businesses, institutions and governments. This likely permanent market shift has made making digital ID Verification an essential capability – digital and touchless technology and processes are critical to keeping the world moving safely and securely.

That’s why I am excited to announce that Entrust has acquired WorldReach Software, a Canadian-based company that helps governments and travel service providers improve international travel through the digital modernization of immigration, border management programs and safe and seamless traveler journeys.

WorldReach was founded in 1998 in Ottawa and has become a recognized leader in identity solutions for travel and citizen services. WorldReach has innovative technology in ICAO-compliant identity verification and digital onboarding, and the team has the expertise to implement these solutions at scale. The company has seen strong demand for its services, and was recently named to the Toronto  Globe and Mail’s 2020 ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies.

The WorldReach team  is a natural fit for Entrust. Entrust is a proven leader in identity and access management (IAM) and secure digital and physical credentials for businesses and government. Combining the core capabilities of our two organization allows us to better serve our government and international travel industry customers with world-class, fully-integrated digital security solutions and expertise.

Together, we will leverage our global footprint, innovation and professional services capabilities to extend the reach of these solutions to positively impact tens of millions of traveler experiences and digital citizen identity interactions each year.
