Recently, Entrust Datacard customer AllianceData, helped Caesar’s Entertainment implement a program for the instant issuance of its Total Rewards Visa credit card. The program was initially rolled-out at the Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas location and expanded in late 2015. Today, guests can take advantage of the program at Harrah’s resort in Atlantic City and at other locations soon, including Caesars Atlantic City.

The program allows guests to apply for a line of credit at 12 Las Vegas and Atlantic City Total Rewards locations and if approved, receive an instantly issued EMV chip credit card which allows the card holder access to not only their line of credit, but also a variety of loyalty program rewards, instantly. The Total Rewards Visa is instantly issued using Entrust Datacard technology.

In late October, this innovative program was recognized by Airline Information as the Travel Co-Branded Card - Innovation of the Year Award winner during their 2016 Mega Awards at Mega Event 2016 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Mega Event is an annual gathering of airline and travel industry leaders, during which they discuss issues pertaining to loyalty and credit.

The instant issuance of payment cards has allowed financial institutions, retail outlets and other card issuers to meet the needs of our ever increasing “instant” society. That said, instant issuance not only helps to meet consumer’s demands, but also allows issuers to take advantage of a variety of benefits associated with the instant issuance of payment cards – including, top of wallet placement, increased incremental revenue and 100% activation rates.
