Entrust Authority™ Security Manager Comprehensive

Course Overview

The Entrust Authority Security Manager Comprehensive course is an in-depth, five-day, hands-on treatment of the Entrust Authority Security Manager (formerly Entrust/Authority). The course begins with an interactive session on business security needs and the overall requirement for planning and policy. The encryption and digital signature processes are discussed, as are the elements of trust and components of an Entrust infrastructure. Students will have an opportunity to perform the planning, policy setting, and administrative tasks associated with the Security Manager. In addition, they will learn how to perform the more advanced tasks, such as bulk operations and cross-certification between multiple Certification Authorities.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate how the processes of encryption and digital signature factor in the solution to an organization's data security requirements.
  • Describe the basic architecture of an Entrust infrastructure, including the function of the various applications and processes.
  • Perform both the usual and the more advanced tasks related to management of the Security Manager.
  • Customize the roles, policy and groups of users in an Entrust solution.
