Entrust IdentityGuard Training

Course Overview ...

The Entrust IdentityGuard Training course is a two-day, hands-on treatment of the Entrust IdentityGuard Server. The course begins with an interactive session on authentication factors and the overall requirement for web security. The architecture of an IdentityGuard solution is detailed and the various components discussed. Students will have an opportunity to perform the planning and installation of Entrust IdentityGuard. They will then perform administrative operations using both the Entrust IdentityGuard Command Shell and the Entrust IdentityGuard Administration, and client operations using the Entrust IdentityGuard Sample Application. The layered authentication models are described, and students perform advanced configuration with policy, groups, and roles. Entrust IdentityGuard deployment and integration options are discussed, along with the WSDL and API resources. Students will configure SSL for Entrust IdentityGuard. Finally, students will perform a disaster recovery.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate the value of each authentication factor in web security.
• Describe the basic architecture of an Entrust IdentityGuard system, including the function of the various applications and processes.
• Perform both the usual and the more advanced tasks related to management of the IdentityGuard server.
