Course: Entrust IdentityGuard Training
The Entrust IdentityGuard Training course is a two-day, hands-on treatment of the Entrust IdentityGuard server and Entrust IdentityGuard Self-Service Module. Through structured labs, students plan, install, configure and manage their own Entrust IdentityGuard system to ensure they fully understand and can transfer their classroom knowledge back to their organization.
Summary
The Entrust IdentityGuard Training begins with an interactive session on authentication factors and the overall requirements for Web security. Architecture of the solution is detailed and various components discussed. Students perform the planning and installation — for consumer and enterprise environments — of the Entrust IdentityGuard versatile authentication platform.
Participants will learn to perform administrative operations using both the Entrust IdentityGuard Command Shell and the Entrust IdentityGuard Administration. Using the Entrust IdentityGuard Sample Application, students authenticate to Entrust IdentityGuard using various authentication mechanisms, including grid cards, tokens, PIN, password, machine/device and knowledge-based methods.
The solution's layered authentication models are described, and students perform advanced configuration with policy, groups and roles. Attendees also install, configure and test the Entrust IdentityGuard Self-Service Module, as well as perform a disaster recovery of the Entrust IdentityGuard server.
Prerequisites: Experience with Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003
