The Chase Manhattan Bank Chase EC GatewaySM

By incorporating Entrust/PKI™ into Chase EC GatewaySM, an Internet-based treasury product, The Chase Manhattan Bank enhanced security of Internet financial interactions and became its own digital-certificate authority.

Chase EC GatewaySM is one such solution. It's the Internet infrastructure that 'e-enables' Chase Treasury Solutions clients, allowing them to send payment-instruction and information files to Chase over the Internet. Chase EC Gateway and Entrust® public-key infrastructure (PKI), in combination with SecureTransport™ from ValiCert, Inc., are designed to provide a secure environment for client transmissions.

Entrust/PKI™ was integrated with Chase EC Gateway to permit user authentication, encryption and sophisticated key management, and provide confidentiality and data integrity for customers.

Further integrating ValiCert's SecureTransport and Entrust/PKI, Chase designed a secure transport Internet protocol on Chase EC Gateway.
