    The Enrollment Server for Web works with Entrust Authority™ Security Manager to issue digital certificates for secure Web, VPN, email, code signing and wireless applications. Digital certificates allow you to perform secured, trusted online business with customers, partners, suppliers and employees over a variety of devices. The Enrollment Server is a cost-effective, scalable and easy-to-use application that can leverage your Security Manager over millions of users and across a wide range of applications.

  3. Can the Web pages that end-users access be customized? (top)

    Yes. The Enrollment Server for Web includes HTML pages that are “ready-to-go” right out of the box. However, if you would like to change the look and feel of those HTML pages, you are completely free to do so. Each page, by default, contains a line of text with its name — making them very easy to find and modify with any HTML editor program.

    SSL (TLS), IPSec, S/MIME, PKCS 10/7, WAP, WTLS, X.509 v3, PEM/BASE 64, LDAP v2/v3.

    The Enrollment Server for Web can issue X.509 v3 certificates to Microsoft IE browsers version 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, Netscape browser version 7.x. Once the browser has retrieved the certificate, Microsoft® Outlook® Express and Netscape Messenger can then use it for S/MIME email.

    Any Web server that supports SSL and is able to generate a certificate request can retrieve a certificate through the Enrollment Server for Web.

  7. What are the CRL capabilities of the Enrollment Server for Web? (top)

    CRL checking is accomplished by accessing the Enrollment Server for Web with a browser and submitting a request for the status of a particular certificate. This feature is called “Certificate Finder”.

    In addition, certain browsers and Web servers can automatically check the revocation status of a certificate. The Enrollment Server for Web generates certificates that include the information that browsers and Web servers need to automatically perform CRL checks. Consult your browser or Web server documentation to determine if your browser or Web server can automatically check certificate revocation status.
