Entrust Authority Roaming Server lets administrators establish groups of users who may:

• only log in to their desktop,
• only perform roaming login,
• work as either a desktop user or as a roaming user.

Step 1

If a user chooses to store their digital ID on their desktop machine, initial login will be as a desktop user. If, as shown below, they choose to store their digital ID in the directory, they will log in as a roaming user.

Step 2

After creating a digital ID, the user logs in to Entrust. As a roaming user, their profile is retrieved from the directory.

Step 3

Before logging out, users can decide to switch between working as a desktop user and continuing to work as a roaming user. To switch, the user goes to the Entrust Options panel shown below and selects the “Work as a desktop user” option.
