Entrust Authority PKCS#7 Toolkit for C/C++

Product Specifications

This section describes hardware, software, and compiler requirements for this Entrust Authority™ toolkit product. All of the platforms listed in this section may not be available at the same time for a given release.

Microsoft® Windows®

To install this Entrust Authority™ toolkit product on a Microsoft Windows operating system, your computer must meet the following platform and operating system requirements:

  • Pentium® - class processor
  • At least 32 MB of RAM (64 MB recommended)
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, or Microsoft Windows XP
  • Microsoft Visual C++ Version 6.0 with SP3
Note: Context-sensitive help is only available on Microsoft Windows platforms with the additional installation of the Entrust Toolkit Developer Workshop, available from the Entrust developer Web site.

UNIX

This Entrust Authority™ toolkit product is supported on the following UNIX platforms with one of the compiler/operating system configurations listed:

  • Sun Workshop 6.0 with C++ compiler 5.2 on Solaris 7.0 or 8.0 (SUN Ultra Sparc, 32-bit, standard mode only). The following patches may be required:
    • 106327-08 (SunOS 5.7: Shared library patch for C++)
    • 106300-09 (SunOS 5.7: Shared library patch for 64-bit C++)
  • IBM C/C++ compiler v3.6.6 on AIX 4.3.3 (IBM PowerPC 604, RS64-II, POWER3 or later architecture, 32-bit mode only).
  • HP aCC++ A.03.15 on HP-UX 11.0 with X.03.14.06 language support library (PA 2.0 architecture, 32-bit mode only). The following patches are required:
    • PHSS_16587 (run-time patch)
    • PHSS_19866 (dld.sl(5) Cumulative patch)
    • PHSS_21223 (ANSI C Compiler cumulative patch)
    • PHSS_20975 (HP aC++ (A.03.15)
    • PHCO_19666 (libpthreads cumulative patch)
    • PHCO_20765 (libc cumulative patch)
  • Compaq C++ Version 6.3-002 (and higher) for Tru64 UNIX® compiler on Version 5.1 (and higher) of the Tru64™ UNIX® on Alpha Server™.

Recompiling applications

All UNIX applications based on previous releases of Entrust Authority™ toolkit must be recompiled before linking with Entrust Authority™ toolkit 6.0 libraries.

Platforms no longer supported

The following platforms are no longer supported in this release of Entrust Authority™ toolkit:

  • Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT
  • Solaris 2.6
  • HP-UX 10.20
  • AIX 4.2.1
  • AIX 4.3.1
  • AIX 4.3.2
