The Entrust Mobile ID Server makes it possible to use a cell phone or other mobile device (PDA, pager, laptop) to add an additional layer of security to Web portals. It can be used in place of hardware security tokens as a more cost-effective and easier method of adding two-factor authentication to online applications.
Single-Use PIN Delivered to Mobile Device
Users can now have unique, single-use PINs (personal identification numbers) delivered to the mobile device of their choice. Combining these PINs with individual's existing usernames increases the security and confidence in the identity of those accessing protected Web content or applications.
This customizable and easy-to-use product can provide a second-factor of authentication with Entrust TruePass, Entrust GetAccess and Entrust Authority Self-Administration Server products to protect Web portals, or it can be implemented on its own to protect any online application.
