Technical Specifications

Entrust Authority Administration Services is a Web-based administration application for Entrust Authority Security Manager 7.0+ systems. By using Administration Services as part of your security solution, you can:

  • allow administrators with restricted permissions who may not be familiar with Security Manager Administration (formerly Entrust/RA) to perform specific user management tasks
  • allow administrators to access and perform tasks from any connected computer with a supported Web browser
  • allow end users to perform self-service registration, Digital ID enrollment and account management tasks

Administration Services consists of three main segments: Tier 1 (client-side Web browser and Administration Services applets), Tier 2 (Administration Services components on the Web and application server), and Tier 3 (Security Manager back-end components).

Entrust Authority Security Manager 7.1+: Entrust Authority Administration Services employs an XML Administration Protocol introduced with Entrust Authority Security Manager 7.0 and is therefore dependant on this release of the Security Manager product.
