As a member of the Entrust Trusted Partner Program, RIM has tailored support for the Entrust Secure Messaging Solution by extending the capability of its Java™-based BlackBerry(R) wireless handhelds to support S/MIME (Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) messaging. To enable secure messaging capability, RIM has embedded Entrust technology within its commercially available S/MIME Support Package. Rim’s Entrust-Ready integration enables customers to access their secure e-mail from both their BlackBerry wireless handheld and their desktop PC using the same digital ID, simplifying both usability and administration.
