Pointsec Mobile Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Protect Data AB, develops and markets security software for PCs, laptops, and PDAs and other mobile computing devices in order to protect against intrusion and data theft. Through a strategic partnership with Pointsec Mobile Technologies - the worldwide defacto standard for mobile device security – Entrust is able to address the growing need for protecting data on mobile devices. In 2001, Pointsec earned Entrust-Ready status with its Pointsec® for PC product. The Pointsec Single Sign-on feature enables users to leverage a single password for logging onto co-deployed Entrust applications. The solution also enables customers to use Entrust Digital Identities to manage access to PCs and laptops protected by Pointsec for PC. An example of a security benefit is in the case where an Entrust digital identity is revoked -- the Pointsec software will automatically deny that user access to the device.
