Netrust is the first Certification Authority (CA) in South Asia. A joint venture between Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (KTT) & Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd (NETS), Netrust provides individuals, businesses and government organisations a complete online identification and security infrastructure to enable secure electronic commerce and other online transactions across the Internet and via wireless communication.

As a Certification Authority (CA), Netrust acts as a trusted third party to sign and issue digital certificates. In accordance with e-commerce needs, these certificates can be issued on diskettes, smartcards and cryptocards.

The Netrust Public Certification Services (PCS) Framework is based on certificate issuance and management technology licensed from Entrust. The Netrust PCS brings "security-under-the-covers" making it easy for users to encrypt and sign files for other users without having to worry about cryptography mechanisms used, key management operations or security data included with the protected files.

Netrust provides user registration, certificate life-cycle management and certificate distribution services (inclusive of published certificate revocation lists for public access). Additionally, Netrust offers an Organisational Registration Authority (ORA) service to facilitate authorised organisations in carrying out registration procedures for their end-users. Thus, ORA organisations can effectively deploy the use of Netrust Digital Certificates with their services and products to more users globally.

Today, Netrust's digital certificates are used by users in Asia, Europe and the US for a variety of online B2B and B2C applications inclusive of but not limited to trade finance services, stock trading, government applications, supply-chain management, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and wireless applications.
