Entrust CMO, SSL General Manager Addresses Mobile Device Security at CISO Summit

Entrust executive to explore the benefits of mobile convergence, identity-based security strategies in the enterprise

DALLAS, Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Entrust, Inc. chief marketing officer David Rockvam is a featured guest at the 2011 CISO Summit in Scottsdale, Ariz., Dec. 6-7. Rockvam, who also serves as the general manager of Entrust Certificate Services, will address attendees during a CIO Thought-Leadership session at 9:45 a.m. MST Wednesday.

Rockvam’s presentation, “Leveraging Mobile Devices for Identity-Based Security,” will explore the growing trend of employees using consumer devices within the enterprise. This movement — sometimes known as “Bring Your Own Device” — has enterprises seeking methods to properly authenticate mobile devices and any connections from consumer-based devices. Many organizations are even deploying technology to transform consumer-based mobile devices into actual authenticators.

Since joining the company more than 13 years ago, Rockvam’s broad experience includes significant involvement in Entrust’s initial public offering in 1998. During his time as Vice President of Corporate Development, Entrust was taken private by equity firm Thoma Bravo in July 2009. In addition to his role as CMO, Rockvam leads the company’s Entrust Certificate Services division, which provides digital certificate offerings and services, including SSL certificates.

Entrust’s versatile authentication platform enables organizations to deploy strong authentication throughout an organization or enterprise — whether it is for physical, logical or mobile access. Organizations also may use the platform’s versatility to take advantage of mobile devices for strong authentication via soft tokens. And hosted digital certificate or public key infrastructure (PKI) services are available for organizations that prefer a more hands-off, turn-key approach.
