04 Nov 2003
DALLAS - Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU], a world leader in securing digital identities and information, today announced it is a new member in the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program. In addition, the Entrust Entelligence? Security Provider (ESP), a thin-client PKI desktop client, has achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Product Status, demonstrating Entrust's commitment to delivering high-quality products for the Windows platform. This product, which began shipping earlier this year, is the first PKI product to achieve MS Gold Certified product designation.
"Entrust is very pleased to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for software products and have the first PKI product to achieve MS Gold Certification," said Bill Conner, chairman, president and CEO at Entrust. "This achievement follows Entrust's ongoing commitment to delivering security solutions for the Windows platform that are easy to deploy, can be managed at low cost, and work with the latest Microsoft technologies. The independent software testing performed as part of the certification process is additional evidence of this commitment."
The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program provides a way for customers to identify companies that have proven their commitment and expertise in one or more specialized areas when delivering Microsoft technologies. Microsoft Certified Partners need to meet a higher set of criteria for each category, including enhanced certification and a portfolio of real-world customer references, and are thus identified as the most skilled partners in specific solution areas. Membership in the program will also provide Entrust with additional resources to enhance its innovation on the Windows platform.
"Given the number of choices in software products in the market today, customers need to quickly learn who is committed to integration and testing," said Rosa Garcia, general manager of the Partner Programs Group at Microsoft. "They need to be assured that a software provider has a policy of platform testing and integration. With commitments to the Microsoft Windows and .NET platforms, Entrust has clearly demonstrated that its software products are robust and credible. Microsoft is pleased to have Entrust as a Gold Certified Partner for Software Products."
Entrust's solutions for secure desktop, e-mail, VPN, Web portal and identity management integrate tightly with Microsoft operating systems, directories, and infrastructure technologies, such as Windows NET Server, Windows XP, Active Directory, Internet Information Server and Internet Explorer. Entrust's Entelligence Security Provider, newly designated a Microsoft Gold Certified Product, delivers the value of Entrust's PKI security management capabilities into the Windows desktop environment with no additional application integration required. This product also leverages native digital signature, encryption and other security capabilities built into Microsoft and 3rd party applications.
