Entrust Congratulates GTEC WEEK 2003 Distinction Award Winning Customers
Canadian event honors excellence in knowledge management and innovative technologies for government operations and public service delivery

DALLAS - Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU], a world leader in securing digital identities and information, offers its congratulations to the Distinction Award Winners of GTEC WEEK 2003, the leading Canadian event that highlights and showcases innovative technologies in government operations and public service delivery. Several award winners showcased Entrust products and applications at the annual event in Ottawa, Canada, from October 6-8, 2003.
The award categories were designed to reflect the evolving public sector service delivery environment, and the increasing interdependence within and among the various levels of government. A total of 36 awards were given in four groups, encompassing 14 categories and 3 sub-categories. These groups included Federal Awards (Group I), Provincial Awards (Group II), Municipal Awards (Group III) and National E-Government Awards (Group IV).

VAC will share its business experiences and transportable database infrastructure to assist in the development of eHealth in Canada.

This employee portal for the Ontario Public Service is quickly evolving into an enterprise portal for access to Shared Services Bureau's (SSB) services. Single sign-on access is available from 61,000 desktops secured with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Identified by a unique customer profile SSB's customers have secure, cost efficient and convenient access to an ever-growing number of online services, including electronic expense claims, processing vacation credits, and viewing salary records.

This service provides a scalable, reusable and trusted electronic credential that can be used for the application of digital signatures to citizens' transactions with government. It also provides Canadians with privacy, confidentiality and security for the information they transmit using the service. Portable and accessible from any browser, the credential is also flexible so Canadians can choose either to use one epass to access multiple services, or a different epass for each service.

Nominations in each of the groupings were subject to a rigorous screening and judging process by distinguished representatives from the particular jurisdictions involved. Winners were announced on October 6, 2003 at the Distinction Awards 2003 Gala sponsored by the private sector, and held at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, in Gatineau, Canada.
