03 Sep 2003
DALLAS, TX - Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU], a global leader in securing digital identities and information for governments and enterprises, today applauded the appointment of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) CIO Karen Evans to serve as the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Deputy Director and Administrator for E-Government and Information Technology. Evans will assume the position previously held by Mark Forman. Entrust has served as a longstanding technology partner with DOE, working with Evans and her management team on several Department-wide and program initiatives over several years.
"In the technology arena there are those who 'get it' and those who 'get it done'. Karen Evans is one of the highly valued leaders who possess both essential qualities," said Bill Conner, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Entrust. "Given her experience at the U.S. Department of Energy and leadership on the CIO council, Karen knows first hand what it takes to successfully execute the strategy and architecture that she actually played a role in developing with Mark Forman and his team."
"We look forward to working with Karen in her new role and in helping to deliver the potential benefits and cost efficiencies brought forth by an integrated, secure e-government architecture," said Conner.
