DALLAS - Entrust, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENTU), a global leader in securing digital identities and information for governments and enterprises, is pleased to announce that three out of the top four eGovernments, as ranked by the latest Accenture global study, are standardized on Entrust security solutions. These governments include Canada, Singapore and Denmark. In addition, Entrust has deployments in over 50 Federal agencies and departments within the United States government, also ranked one of the world's top four eGovernments.
The study, "eGovernment Leadership: Engaging the Customer", ranked the Government of Canada as number one among 22 world governments, for the third year in a row, in the delivery of eGovernment services. The Government of Canada is a premier Entrust customer, employing the company's solutions to transform the way citizens access and use government services.
"We are extremely proud that the world's top eGovernments, recognized for their superior customer service, performance measurement and integrated services, are our customers," said Bill Conner, chairman, president and CEO of Entrust. "For the governments we partner with, and the millions of citizens they serve, the results of this study demonstrate that Entrust is the standard for securing online government services."
The study placed each government in one of five "plateaus," or levels, of online maturity. The first plateau requires little more than having an online presence, while the fifth, and highest, plateau involves complete service transformation. Canada alone achieved the 5th plateau of online maturity. Singapore, the United States, Denmark, Australia, Finland, Hong Kong, the U.K., Belgium, Ireland and France all ranked in the 4th plateau.
Globally, Entrust serves more than 50 foreign governments, including the Governments of Canada, Denmark, U.K., Spain, Singapore and France. Within the U.S., Entrust's secure digital identity technology helps power the Federal Bridge Certificate Authority (FBCA), a multi-agency information-sharing program that is now "up and running" and ties together the U.S. Departments of Defense and Treasury, the National Aeronautical and Space Agency (NASA) and the National Finance Center (USDA-NFC) to securely communicate and share information. Additionally, Entrust serves as the technology provider to three out of the four individual agencies that have achieved certification under the FBCA.
