Chris Voice, Entrust CTO discusses Entrust's new Zero Touch Fraud Detection capability

24 Aug 2006

DALLAS - For financial institutions and other organizations that want to fast track their online consumer protection program, Zero Touch Fraud Detection offers a quick way to start protecting customers online without having to impact the user experience or touch back end applications. To help shed more light on how Zero Touch Fraud Detection works, Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU] has released the "Smelling Fraud a Mile Away" podcast with its Chief Technology Officer Chris Voice. Voice also will discuss the company's recent acquisition of Business Signatures and talk about real world customer stories where this technology is working to help reduce fraud.

"While risk-based strong authentication is a long term solution to protect consumers online, implementing a fraud detection tool is a very fast way to address security concerns and regulatory compliance like the looming Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's (FFIEC) guidance at the end of the year," said Entrust Chief Technology Officer Chris Voice.

In this podcast, listeners will learn about the differences between first generation fraud detection solutions and Zero Touch Fraud Detection, as well as customer examples of the technology at work to protect consumers online. The podcast may be downloaded at http://feeds.feedburner.com/entrust.

"Because we believe security shouldn't be painful or complex for our customers, this Zero Touch Fraud Detection platform offers a way for organizations to quickly start defending their customers against fraudulent activity," adds Voice. "Because this system doesn't required integration with back end applications, it's not just easy to implement, it is a godsend to fraud teams who have to make changes to the solution once new fraud patterns emerge. For large financial institutions, this could be a weekly occurrence, and no one wants to modify brittle applications that often - if ever."

Voice is a sought after industry expert and has participated in a number of industry associations and member organizations including the Business Software Alliance (BSA), Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA) and the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC), as well as speaking at events such as the RSA Security Conference and Digital ID World. Voice brings almost twenty years of experience from a variety of technology and marketing roles in high-tech and aerospace industries and has been with Entrust for nine years.
